Treating infants and children is a challenging and often daunting experience for clinicians. Pete Williams discusses his work as a paediatric specialist, giving his ‘Top Ten Tips’ when treating infants and children.
Speaker bio:
Pete graduated from Dundee in 2000 and has based his subsequent jobs on their proximity to the mountains. He is a consultant in Emergency Medicine with dual accreditation in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, North Wales. He also works for the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS Cymru) flying on Helimed 61 based in Caernarfon. Pete is the Clinical Lead for paediatric and neonatal medicine for EMRTS and is the liaison for the Bangor Fellows with the air ambulance. Pete is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Outside of work, Pete enjoys most mountain sports particularly telemark skiing, Scottish winter climbing and hill running.
